My Sponge has never been so clean!
I didn’t realise how much I was settling for half-clean sponges until I tried the Saint Jack sponge bath. Normally, cleaning my sponge is one of those “I’ll get to it later” jobs because it’s a messy, time-consuming process that never leaves it truly spotless. This changed everything. I poured it on my sponge, gave it a gentle squeeze, and it was like watching all those layers of foundation, concealer, and setting powder just surrender. There’s something oddly addictive about watching all that old makeup swirl away in seconds, it’s like those cleaning videos you watch on TikTok, but in real life, and with the bonus of knowing you’re not rubbing old bacteria back onto your skin the next morning. No endless twisting, no sore hands, no weird film left behind.
What I wasn’t expecting was how soft my sponge felt afterwards. A lot of cleansers make them almost rubbery or stiff, but this left mine feeling the way it did when I first bought it - springy, bouncy, and somehow even more plush when I went to apply my makeup the next day.
I love that its also fragrance-free, which I didn’t think I cared about until I realised how nice it is not to have my sponge smell like dish soap or perfume when it’s going near my face. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and Australian-made, which ticks all the feel-good boxes for me.
Yes, it’s a little pricier than the cheap cleansers you can grab at the supermarket, but you genuinely use so little each time, and the results are in a whole other league.…
SAINT JACK
Natalie, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for taking the time to write such an in-depth, thoughtful review of our sponge cleaner. This is the most detailed, incredible feedback we have received on the formula since launching it earlier this year (May 2025) and I'm blown away. On a personal note, I'd also like to thank you for the shout out - this was a difficult formula to get right and for you to make these comments has just validated that all the time, sweat & tears were worth it. Thank you, Beth (Founder of Saint Jack) x
